Heritage Park in Camas

The Heritage Park in Camas is a must-visit park while you're in Camas. It's located next to Lacamas Lake, and the park spans across 5.5 acres and features a boat launch, making it a popular destination for various water activities such as water skiing and paddle boarding. The park is also home to the well-known Heritage Park trailhead, which is a heavily trafficked 6.9-mile out-and-back trail that runs alongside Lacamas Lake. A Man From Camas Dies in a Crash

According to Washington State Patrol, a 29-year-old man died early Wednesday morning after a crash on State Route 50l. The crash happened on SR-500 near Northeast 232nd Avenue at about 1:48 a.m. WSP says an investigation revealed Jeremy Deherrera, of Camas, was eastbound when he lost control on a curve and went off the road. He crashed through a heavy brush and a barn before the car flipped. Sadly, Deherrera died at the scene. WSP says he was wearing a seatbelt. According to WSP, speeding has been determined as the cause of the crash. It's unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were involved.
